/// Carmen Carrera was born in Cadiz in 1985. Ever since she was a child, she showed enthusiasm to record family events on video, with her father´s camera. When she was 9 years old he gave her first camera (it was a Polaroid which she is still in love), But no one could suspected how important it will be in her life.
When she was 23 years old, her brother gave her a compact camera as present, and she began her passion with this art. When she knew this art she left her job as coordinator of training to continue with her passion so she started to study photography.
She studied fine art photography at the School of Art in Jerez de la Frontera and participated in several exhibitions with her classmates.
She received two awards in the Phi Festival, it was organized by the School of Art.
She is a founding member of JerezArte (non-profit association to promote the artistic and cultural work in the province of Cádiz) and has worked repeatedly in collaboration with design firms and advertising as Salvartes.
She has led projects with artists as Juan Antonio Lobato, Verónica Díaz, Marina Ruiz or Dieto Derichs ///
